The Kansas of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/4/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Birrieria La Nieta De Villa was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Kansas food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

• In the make table cooler, there was one bag of cooked pork meat that temped 45.7f. Female employee stated she had the meat outside for 10 minutes before the inspection started. (COS)PIC placed the meat in the freezer so it can cool down faster.
• In the make table cooler, there were 3 bottles of red salsa with no date mark. PIC stated that the red salsa was made on Friday (1-31-2020). (COS)PIC placed proper date mark on the bottles of salsa.
• No paper towels or other hand drying provisions at the restroom hand washing sink.(COS)PIC placed paper towels in the restroom.
• On the floor behind and next to the refrigerator, there were two live adult roaches. Suggested to PIC to call pest control as soon as he can.
• On the counter of the cash register, there were two spray bottles with water and sanitizer that did not have any identification. (COS)PIC placed identification on the spray bottles.
