Kansas Department of Agriculture’s (KDA) food safety and lodging program conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 3/18/2020 As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Chili’s Bar and Grill was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Kansas food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- On the chefs line, an employee was wearing gloves and grab the handle of teh Reach in cooler then without a hand wash or glove change the employee grabbed a handful of shredded cheese. COS = Educated PIC in regards to hand washing and discarded cheese
- In the back prep area, one juvenile roach was crawling up the walls that separates the prep area from the line.
- On a wire rack just to the end of the expo line, one working spray bottle with sanitizer inside was pointed at stored as clean dishes. Person in charge contacted pest control for a service appt. Corrected on site (COS) = Chemical bottle moved
