The Kansas of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/12/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the McDonald’s Restaurant in Leawood was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Kansas food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 1 single violation was found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • In the front by the registers and the drive through area, there were live small flying insects. They were on the walls, ceiling and by the hand sink located closer to the drive through and fryer. There was also 2 flying around the front area. Inspector counted total of 7 on the walls, 4 on the ceiling and one by the hand sink.
