Kansas Department of Agriculture’s (KDA) food safety and lodging program conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 9/2/2020. As a result of that inspection Jose Pepper’s Mexican Restaurant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Kansas food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of one violation was cited.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • One adult cockroach with curled up wings and one alert baby cockroach under the dish washer. One alert adult cockroach under the ice maker behind bar. One dead adult cockroach under ice machine in kitchen. Last pest control treatment was 8/28.
